Reports that Donald Couch, the Tront representative for Rapaki, has been dismissed from his position are misleading. He was dismissed by “Vota- Bus”. Supporters of Wally Stone turned up in numbers and voted Donald off. It was completely unconstitutional. There is a formal process at each marae to remove a representative. There was no such process on this occasion. Therefore Donald Couch remains the Tront representative for Rapaki.

Rubbish, he was put in over the floor with no constitution and removed the same way, it amazes me how the rules are suited for the Solomon fans. The people have spoken everyone that turned up were members of Rapaki and have the right to vote, its called Maori, its called tikanga.
Have always been aware of my cousin Donald, he is an intelligent man, but he came home with big expectations and took roles of power (as I spose his intelligence demanded) He has sat in those seats with alot of knowledge, I am just weary of the fact that he didnt have the knowledge of the heart. Of all that Rapaki had been through prior to his return.
As for what has been said in relation to the Stone Whanau I dont dispute that they are Rapaki! As they too are my cousins, but it is true that on that one day they decide to stack the Marae, every other meeting where are they? When the Mahi needs to be done?
I know they were there at the last KU of Rapaki that K.Lee lead, that took our name from the Marae, and I know too that it is not neccessarily Wally or the boys that lead these attacks but that of Herena and Hapeti, who were part of K.Lee’s merry activists. So John?? is a runanga meeting that happens on a monthly basis a place to make a one of demand!? Rock on in.. then Rock on out and see you in another 10 years??
Rapaki has enough problems on ground floor without having to deal with power struggles. What a back door tatic they used to hit on one rep when there were 11 that made the decision!
I feel for cousin Wally, but this is the crap when involved with blue collar business and politics associated within Iwi..!!
